A significant part of the Capri Sanctuary programme, is the guidance into implementing positive health behaviours to support your values, wellbeing, and quality of life. Developing good sleep practice, nutrition, self-care, and social practices. Working with our personal trainer daily to develop a personalised exercise programme, massage therapy, and yoga will all be part of your treatment programme. When coming through difficult life challenges, learning to live well, in a valued, purposeful, and meaningful way supports effective maintenance of change. All the learning comes together in a functional and robust Living Well Plan.
Any required alcohol or drug withdrawal management (detox) will be attended to either, with medication prescribed by our psychiatrist, and/or specific behavioural interventions such as the provision of a calm soothing environment, good nutrition and hydration. All with a focus on ensuring your comfort and safety while transitioning through this stage. Being continually supported by our medical, and nursing team, you will not be alone.
After-Care-Coaching, and support, will continue for as long as necessary after the residential phase is completed. Ensuring best support for our guests as they reintegrate into their families, and communities, while practicing their individual Living Well Plan.
The terms 'behavioural health' and 'mental health' are often used interchangeably. Behavioural health includes not only ways of promoting wellbeing by preventing or intervening in mental illness such as depression or anxiety, but also has as an aim preventing or intervening in substance abuse or other addictions.

True testament to the success of the methods in use here at Capri Sanctuary. My own experience here at Capri Sanctuary was one of great personal growth. I was a wreck when I arrived with little hope for the future.
